Otherwise, a near fine copy - clean, bright and unmarked - of this uncommon genealogy. ~SP27~ [1.5P] Volume 2 of a 2-Volume Genealogy. Traces the known descendants of William Allen, probably a descendant of Thomas Allen the 1633 immigrant, who was born in the early 1700s. He and his wife, Mary, had eight children, born in Baltimore (now Harford) County, Maryland, 1729-1745. He died after 1745 or 1750. His great grandson, James Allen, was born in 1814 in Blount County, Tennessee, the son of Hugh and Frances Allen. He married Lucinda Bauchamp in 1834, probably in Wayne County, Indiana. They had six children, 1835-1848. He died in 1888 in Benton County, Minnesota. Descendants of his three sons, Edward Allen (1835-1903), Silas Allen (1842-1911) and William Ziba Allen (1848-1936), lived in Indiana, Minnesota, Iowa, and elsewhere. This second volume contains a foreword and three chapters: Chapter 12, Descendants of Silas Allen; Chapter 13, Descendants of Edward Allen; Chapter 14, Descendants of William Ziba Allen.
