Original etching/engraving on handlaid (verge) paper. on paper. Size in cm: The overall size is ca. 13.5 x 13.5 cm. The image size is ca. 12 x 12 cm. Size in inch: The overall size is ca. 5.3 x 5.3 inch. The image size is ca. 4.7 x 4.7 inch.Original antique print, titled: 'Veue de St. Jean et Paule et de l'escolle Sainct Mare de Veniz'. It shows: the Santi Giovanni e Paolo church in Venice, as well as the Saint Mary church. Image in a circular border. Source unknown, to be determined. It was published in c. 1680.Artists and Engravers: Engraver: Israel Silvestre. Israel Silvestre (Nancy 1621 - Paris 1691) was a prolific French draughtsman, etcher and print dealer who specialised in topographical views and architectural plates. He was orphaned at a young age, and taken in by his uncle Israel Henriet, a Paris-based print dealer, and friend of Jacques Callot.Condition: Very good, given age.
