Today, as we are facing the severe threat of antibiotic resistance, many researchers once again look to bacteriophages in hope of finding a possible solution to this ongoing crisis. This book explores the history of phage therapy, and investigates its potential to be developed to a feasible, sustainable, and efficient adjunct to antibiotics.

Born and raised in Norway, Dr. Tjessem studied medicine in Innsbruck, Austria. Interested in solutions to the problem of antibiotic drug-resistance, this manuscript was created under the kind guidance of Assoc.Prof Dr. Wolfgang M. Prodinger, MD. MME.
