In Eagle he sailed on her summer 1998 cruise. In 1999, as a senior chief petty officer (E-8), he attended the U.S. Air Force Senior Non-commissioned Officer Academy. While in the Sherman he held the position of command enlisted advisor and made her historic deployment to the Persian Gulf and circumnavigation of the globe in 2001. He details the Coast Guards mission in the Persian Gulf to enforce United Nations sanctions, boarding suspected oil smuggling vessels, and the sinking of the M/V Zainab. In Dependable, as an officer, he served as the assistant engineering officer (AEO) and damage control assistant (DCA). During his tour aboard the "Mighty D" he details illegal migrant operations and numerous multi-million dollar drug busts to include the $274 million dollars in drugs found aboard the M/V Miss Mery Hill. Note: The Kindle eBook edition has color photographs and the print paperback has black & white photographs.
