One black three-ringed binder full of many pages of copied articles, some BW illus. Copies of articles, reviews, and chapters from a variety of previous publications, assembled by a former gallery employee, in an effort to research the life and work of American avant-garde artist Arthur Bowen Davies (1863-1928). Pieces are held in three-ringed binder and appear in chronological order, seemingly fropm 1896 to 1987. Includes such newspaper accounts as "Widow Burns 61 Unfinished Davies Paintings: Holds Them Unrepresentative of His Work," from the New York Times, January 17, 1930, and all sort of other interesting articles.
