Book fine, slipcase very good or better with some marks. Dated Jeddah 1981 to the author's introduction. 110, (1)pp English text illustrated in colour with maps and photos throughout, and errata slip laid on to the final leaf. Located in the Province of Mecca, Taif was a major holiday resort for Saudi residents, and selected as the Saudi summer capital. In the context of the Third Five Year Development Plan, this book presents its history, regional and physical setting, present description (population and economic activity, city structure) and future development, together with a Preface by the Foreign Information Department of the Ministry of Information. The photos include vintage b/w images from the collection of the author and others, as well as diverse modern views. The many maps include master plans and development proposals.
