First edition. 617 pp. plus 175 pp. of appendix which includes: Documentary and Financial Information (i.e., Charter of Charles II, Indian Treaty at Lancaster, Constitutions of 1776 and of 1790 as well as the present constitution, the Charter of Borough of Lancaster and the Charter of t he City of Lancaster (all prior to 1869), plus information on insurance and banking. The volume is divided into ten divisions: Historical, Topographical, Biographical, Political, Religious, Educational, Agricultural/Industrial, Philanthropic, Physical and Documentary (Appendix), as described earlier. Throughout are lists, charts, military records, several illustrations, a fold out map of Lancaster County, tipped in the front of the volume, plus much more. The front cover is held together by a single cord while rear cover is intact. the spine cover is present and complete but separated from volume. The text is complete, clean and in excellent condition. Red boards with leather corners, which are rubbed. All edges sport multi colored designs. The volume basically needs rebound. The Bookworm Bookstore is one of twenty-five Specialty Shops featured on the Second Level of the West Shore Farmer`s Market located at 900 Market Street, Lemoyne, Pennsylvania (2 miles west of the State Capitol in Harrisburg across the Market Street Bridge). The hours are Tuesday and Saturday 9AM-2PM and Friday 9AM-4PM which coincide with the Farm Market hours.(We will also open by appointment) The shop offers a wide variety of subjects generally found in an out-of-print bookstore and also conducts appraisals as well as paperback trading and search services. Within the store there is an inventory between 15,000 and 20,000 volumes as well as hundreds of beautifully matted prints suitable for framing. The Bookworm Bookstore also maintains on-line offerings numbering over 12,000 titles in 100 catalogues.
