Images are meticulously cut and either pasted or glued on recto and verso, with only 24 of 160 pages blank. The VG+ autograph book (5.5" x 7.5") in faux leather contains multiple color cutout images per page, with ownership inscription on opening page: "The Campbell Kids Collection by Aunt Rose Garfinkel." Forty or so loose cutouts laid-in but not affixed; some of the images are from This Week Magazine (1935-1969) and The American Home, May 1959. Cartoonist Grace Drayton first drew the Campbell s Soup Kids in 1904, and they soon became central to their advertising campaigns in the following decades (Comic Book Legal Defense Fund). This was certainly a labor of love for Aunt Rose, and a nice example of the visual appeal of midcentury advertising. Bestandsnummer des Verkäufers 243
