Autograph Note Signed. Approximately 4" x 2½". Left margin creased, hint of toning at edges and paper remnants at the rear corners, near fine. Signed by Douglass: "Very truly yours Fred'k Douglass 1881." A signature of the noted abolitionist figure very likely removed from an autograph album (there is gilt on one edge) and previously mounted in a scrapbook or frame. A clear and fresh signature.
