Publisher's leather binding of the first hardcover edition, not offered for sale. Bound from the first sheets supplied by the printer, in red half-leather with maroon cloth over boards. One of only two copies bound thus for the publishers of Kinnell. This half-leather bound issue preceded a later version which matched the full-leather issues of the Jack Vance titles published by Kinnell. A lengthy Letter of Provenance provided on the Kinnell letterhead from Richard Lewis, one of the two founders. Raised bands. Lettering and rule on spine in gilt.
