A family prepares for the arrival of a baby girl who will be "different" because of her unique chromosomal diagnosis. While gently preparing themselves for the physical challenges that their baby may have, they also are reminded that no matter what happens, their baby is special and loved. This book not only ministers to children who may have a hard time understanding the facts about Trisomy 18, but also to their parents and loved ones who may be shocked and grieving following an unexpected diagnosis.

Beverly Jacobson is an Air Force wife and homeschooling mother of 9 children, the youngest of whom was born February 28, 2017, with Edwards Syndrome (Trisomy 18). Following Verity's diagnosis, the Jacobson family researched this little-known condition and prepared as best they could for the unknowns that lay ahead. Part of that process involved helping Verity's siblings better understand the "what ifs" surrounding their baby sister's condition. This book is a result of family conversations and prayer times in the months leading up to Verity's birth. So far Verity is surprising the medical community with her unexpectedly healthy condition.
