Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor: Michael Burch-Pesses is Director of Bands at Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon, and also is the Conductor and Musical Director of the award winning Oregon Symphonic Band, Oregon's premier adult band. He enjoyed a distinguished career as a bandmaster in the United States Navy before arriving at Pacific University, and he is one of only four Oregon members of the prestigious American Bandmaster’s Association. A strong supporter of multicultural music, Michael has written two reference books about band works composed by non-American composers: one on Canadian band music, and one on the band music of Australia.
