Today's workers lack job security, face greater competition, are under pressure to produce more in a shaky economy, often don't have strong leaders, and are employed by dysfunctional organizations. No wonder they feel powerless, underappreciated, and underpaid. This book addresses precisely those conflicts with a proven plan of action. Written by two top academic researchers, consultants, and corporate activists in the field of preventing burnout, Banishing Burnout includes an effective self-assessment tool-the proven Work Life self-test-organizational analysis, and a custom program for changing individual relationships with work. Used in numerous workplace settings, this plan has initiated dramatic changes in the daily workplace experience and proven critical in career enhancement.
