Beginner's Guide to Drawing Manga Faces, Heads and Hair is an interactive workbook that builds the basic and beginner fundamentals of drawing the manga face across each chapter, with step-by-step visual tutorials, accompanied by practice pages. Tutorials include young and old men and women's faces in front view, profile and ¾ view. The budding artist will begin with facial shapes, move to features and expressions, and end with hairstyles. The book provides a full set of diverse character examples, and the final chapter gives prompts where the new artist can combine all their newfound knowledge to create full portraits of their own. The characters are suitable for teens to adults. This book gives new artists a space in which they can record their first steps into the world of manga and feel encouraged by their progress.
