Tabloid format. 28 pp., including covers. Illustrations and photos throughout. Front cover a full page illustration of Los Siete. Early issue of this radical, counterculture underground newspaper from Berkeley, California, formed after a split with the Berkeley Barb over labor issues. The Tribe embraced more radical and left-wing causes. This issue with a statement from Angela Davis regarding her recent capture; a statement from Los Siete and their recent acquittal; a statement from the Native Americans who were occupying Alcatraz; a statement from an unidentified gay organization in third world countries (or representing them), etcetera. GOOD condition. Horizontal fold crease present. Moderate uneven browning. Minor soiling and moderate foxing to the front cover. some creasing along the edges, with a few minor tears.
