In-16, [8], 503 pp. Contemporary Dutch vellum with yapp edges (binding slightly stained, paper browned at the beginning). This medical bibliography, compiled by the foremost bibliographer of the 17th century, contains works published from 1651 to 1681. It includes about 2000 writers (4000 titles according to Besterman), arranged alphabetically by the last name of the author, separately listing publications in Latin, French, Spanish, Italian, English, German, and Dutch. The bibliography 'is probably as complete and as accurate as was possible at that time. Its main importance is that it is the first work to break down the overwhelmingly large production of medical works into easily digestible portions by a time span.' (Brodman) NLM XVII, 1179.
