This amusing and informative work is told from the view of Biggles as he presents his own personal heroes, including 'Heroes of the Air', 'Heroes Afloat', and 'Man Versus Beast', and many more. Biggles' outlines his thoughts on the notion of heroism, telling the story of influential figures such as Dr Mungo Park, Lady Nithsdale and Sir Francis Drake. Externally, very smart, with light bumping to the extremities. The odd handling mark to endpapers. Dust wrapper is smart, with light edge wear and the odd small chip. A little loss to rear flyleaf. A little sunning to the spine of the wrap and light handling marks. Internally, firmly bound.
