First Australian Edition probably 1946 First printing in dustwrapper. The boards are very dark brown with black lettering.Some minor fading to the front board edges,faint scratch to lower front. The rear board has minor rubs to the top edge.The text block has some foxing but this has not spread to the internal pages, which are bright and clean. The binding is very tight.Probably unread.No inscription. Dust wrapper/ Minor chips to front and rear flap corners,the front top right chip has a closed 1 cm split.Tiny chip to front top left corner and back top right corner.1 cm closed split with small crease to bottom front middle edge,otherwise entire jacket back and front is clean and bright VG.Faint stain to front flap hinge,not showing throgh externally.Extreme corner of front flap cut off and 6/6d above (this may have been done by publisher) NICE EARLY EXAMPLE.
