Written by William Earl Johns, an English First World War pilot and writer of adventure stories, usually under the pen name Capt. W. E. Johns. He is best known for creating the fictional air-adventurer Biggles. This set includes: Biggles og Den Tyske Spion, 1952. Bigges Flies East, notable for being the first appearance of Erich von Stalhein, and as the first book length Johns story of Biggles in the First World War. Biggles Lander i Rusland, 1953. Biggles Sees It Through, set during the closing days of the Finnish Winter War, Biggles and co. have volunteered to fight for Finland in their war against Russian and have joined an International Squadron based at Oskar near Helsinki. In the original white paper wraps. Externally, smart with light bumping to the extremities and the odd small tide mark. Original unclipped dust wrappers are sound with light wear and chipping to the extremities. Minor sunning to the spine with the odd small mark and minor spotting to the rear panel. Light loss to the head of the spine of each volume. Front hinge starting but firm to Biggles og Den Tyske Spion. Internally, firmly bound.
