Previous owners name/address on the front free endpaper (contemporary to the early 1900s), two pages after the title page have a 3.5 cm tear in the margin, and foxing/spotting throughout otherwise pages are unmarked and firm in binding. Pages have browned due to age/paper quality. Pictorial boards have edge/rub wear and fraying at the corners. Printed at the Anchor Press, Essex. The University of British Columbia web site provides this synopsis: A young doctor and a boy search for a promised lode of gold in the mountains of British Columbia which are given exotic names.
