34x53 cm. Tinted lithographic bird's-eye view of Hoboken New Jersey. Generally very good condition, with light soiling in the margins, subtle discoloration, and one short tear at left side professionally repaired. This is a very rare view of this town on the Hudson River across from Manhattan. Deak 753: "John Bachmann's depiction of Hoboken is presented from high above, so that it shows not only the overall well-planned design of the centeral New Jersey city but also an extensive panorama of its rural surroundings to the west and north."
