____A couple of the folds have 1" edge splits._____ ._____Faintly center folded vertically, probably for mailing. _____Issued by the black Gold Petroleum Company of Oklahoma City _____ The exterior includes the title panel and three panels with nine photos of some of the company's drilling operations, located in captions._____ One is a panoramic of the "North Oklahoma City Field Extension.". _____ The remaining four panels are a simple map of the company's lease holdings in Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas._____ It is keyed to a legend identifying the locations. _____ The entire interior is illustrated with more vignette photos._____ Three are of the Black Gold officers the remaining 19 are of drilling and other field operations located in the captions. _____ All this was in effort of tempting investors to buy stock in the company.______ Undated, but based on the few cars shown, probably from the late 1930s. . _____ "Black Gold Petroleum Company was an Arizona corporation that did business out of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma._____ By November of 1934, the company had drilled in Young County, Texas, including a 750-foot dry hole 3.5 miles east of Graham Texas._____This failure notwithstanding, Black Gold Petroleum drilled again in Trego County, Kansas - another dry hole; then drilled and abandoned an unsuccessful wildcat well in Kingfisher County, Oklahoma._____ By 1939 the company had issued 1,087,494.5 shares of capital stock to about 2,200 investors to fund exploration._____ Black Gold Petroleum Company assets included oil leases and equipment at that time." --American Oil & Gas Historical Society. _____ . _____.
