Inhaltsangabe: Severely beaten and sexually assaulted weekly by his foster father, Ace Keebler withdrew into a world of darkness where he nurtured a festering hate for his fellow man. On his sixteenth birthday, Keebler left his foster parents dead on the floor of their burning ranch house and set out on his own. Everything that Ace acquired from that day on he took, and it wasn't healthy for those he chose as victims. It was the outlaw's philosophy to never leave witnesses. Two years after Keebler began his life of crime, he met two men who had the same values as he about another person's life . . . zero. The advent of that relationship began a shocking, monstrous crime spree that crisscrossed the Midwestern United States for years. Life was good for the three men: easy money and leisure living without having to worry about getting caught, and all they had to do was not leave witnesses. Kyle Mannford and Jubal Burgan brought a new dimension of lawlessness to the gang. For their pleasure, victims were brutally beaten, raped, and mentally tortured before receiving the fatal shot to the head. On a warm spring afternoon in May 1850, the gang robbed an Illinois family of a significant amount of money, and true to form, they beat and raped the mother and her children, while making the father watch helplessly as the brutality unfolded. After the fun ended, Ace shot each of the victims in the head as always, but this time was different. The youngest member of the family, a 10-year old boy, did not die and was nursed back to health. After coming out of a two-day coma, he had no memory of what had happened and would not for the next six years. After his memory returned, he vowed vengeance against those who massacred his family, and before he was finished, each member of the Keebler gang would rue the day he was born.

Klappentext: Ace Keebler's philosophy was to not leave witnesses . . .
. . . and it didn't matter if it were man, woman or child . . . all had to die. Ace Keebler, Kyle Mannford, and Jubal Burgan were the most sadistic, vile, and evil group of men to terrorize the Midwest United States in the mid 1800's. None of the three liked to work, so they lived off the earnings of others by robbing banks, stage coaches, and the occasional individual or family. The gang members were not opposed to having fun at the expense of their victims, which included beatings, rape, mental torture, and murder. They were living the life; enjoying the best hotels, the finest meals, and all the whiskey and whores they could handle, and all they had to do was not leave witnesses.

. . . Then up jumped the Devil
One morning after robbing, torturing, and severely beating all members of a family, Ace Keebler walked from body to body putting a bullet hole in each victim's head. But this time the youngest member of the family lived, and after he grew up, he vowed to hunt down and kill each member of the Keebler gang in a manner that would be more heinous and monstrous than what he had observed happening to his family. But it never occurred to him that in doing so, he might just become more evil than them.

Two years after Keebler began his life of crime, he met two men in an all-night poker game who had the same values as he about another s life . . . zero. The two conveyed to Ace that they liked his attitude about not leaving witnesses, and the next day Keebler took them on as partners.
