He earned a bachelor's degree from Ball State University and a Masters of Divinity from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. Troy resides in Eden Prairie with this wife, Cheri, and their three children: Delaney, Marlee, Drake, and Grandson Jax.
