Fore-edge of text block has a bump. Front free endpaper is missing. Gift inscription dated 1852 on front pastedown endpaper. Tear to half-title page. Preliminary pages have a corner crease. Inside pages are generally clean with occasional soil or light foxing marks, and are lightly tanned. Includes "Melodies for the Young" (4 songs) on pages 103-111.
