Full leather binding with brass edged boards, gilt titles blind tooled detail to both boards, gilt titles, raised bands, contained within a silk lined hard case in the shape of a book with a brass clasp, gilt page edges. Top board to the case is missing, brass clasp to the book is missing. Sacraments, Rites, Ceremonies, Psalter, Psalms of David, the procedure in the ordering and consecration of Bishops, Priests and Deacons. At the end with its own title page, the edition of the new version of David's psalms edited by Brady and Tate. Proper Lessons 288pp; The New Testament Unpaginated. A New Version Of The Psalms of David Unpaginated. Approximately 7 ¼ inches tall. Condition Report Externally Spine good condition gilt titles, 6 raised bands with blind tooled detail, blind tooling to the compartments, rubbed top and tail. Joints good condition rubbed and worn. Corners good condition corners are covered in brass. Boards good condition full leather boards with blind tooled detail, brass edging to 3 sides of both boards, brass clasp which closed the book is missing. Book shaped case fair condition contained within a hard silk lined case in the shape of a book, the top edge of the case is missing and only the silk lining remains, the bottom joint at the base of the spine is also broken, the case also has gilt titles on the spine and a brass clasp to close. Page edges good condition all gilt. See above and photos. Internally Hinges good condition intact. Paste downs good condition plain brown with the brass turned in on three edges, there is a small book sellers label in the bottom right hand corner of the front paste down. End papers good condition plain brown, subsequent end papers tanned and foxed, there is a hand written presentation message on the first free end paper dated 1858. Title good condition there are 3 separate title pages, the main title page has a small b/w vignette, The New Testament (follows page 288), and A New Version Of The Psalms OF David, text within a black lined border, lightly tanned with some foxing. Pages good condition inside the front cover there is a loose folded piece of paper headed Parish Church, Hampstead, November 10, 1874 , lightly tanned throughout with some foxing.
