Two Anglican texts bound in a single volume. Neither paginated. The first volume is the book of common prayer including the psalms in prose form and the special prayers for Charles 1 and the Gunpowder Treason-printed by the Kings printers. The second volume is of the psalms in Meter collected by Thomas Sternbold and John Hopkins printed by WILLIAM PEARSON. Although published as separate volumes they were originally presented together in 1680 with additional prayers added in the meantime. In a modest leather binding which is sound but deteriorated at the surface and slight cracking of the spine. Interior is clean and clear and unmarked. Title page of the book of common prayer is missing- text starts with "Ad for the Uniformity of Public Prayers". This would suggest that the volumes have been rebound, and the page lost in the process. As a result the date of publication is the date of the second volume. Bestandsnummer des Verkäufers 3963
