Cambridge, Printed by J. Baskerville, Printer to the University, by whom they are sold in Cambridge, and by B. Dod, Bookseller, in Ave-Mary Lane, London. 1762. Hardcover. Unpaginated. Psalter has a separate title page. It is also unpaginated. Bound in full maroon leather. A very handsome early nineteenth century binding. Book measures 4.25 x 7.25 inches. Marbled endpapers. A large armorial bookplate on the inside front cover with the name Tho. Bishop. A smaller bookplate beneath with the name Benjamin T. Pierce. Binding in very good condition. Text block clean and square and tight. Printed in double columns, with calendar pages. The Psalms are in the tiniest font that Baskerville ever used. A clipped booksellers advertisement identifies this book as the Fourth edition, appearing after the 3 Baskerville Octavo editions. Title page contains the price of 5 shillings according to this slip of paper, it is a re-set, cancel title page. Very good condition. Baskerville was the printer to the University at Cambridge just long enough to produce three editions of this book. This smaller edition is the final one.
