The Book of LOVE by James R. Messenger was written for one simple reason: From what I can perceive today, it appears that people everywhere have come to believe that love does not really exist. This is something I find truly tragic. So what I wish to provide with this little book is something completely counter to almost all contemporary thinking on the subject of love. The Book of LOVE is designed to provide an understanding of the true nature of love: What it is; how it grows and develops; and how to keep it for all of your life. What is my expertise for having a say on this subject? I am a man who has had the extraordinary good fortune to know, not just love, but monumental love in my life. And what I intend to do is to describe what I learned from standing on that mountaintop. Love, I can say from personal experience, is very real. And it is the single most extraordinary thing a human being can ever experience. When I look about me and see how many people will pass through this life and world and will never know love, it pains me to a degree I almost cannot bear. So I wrote this book in response to that pain. In some small way, I hope I can make a difference in just a few lives with The Book of LOVE, so that at least that many more human beings will know the glory of love. Perhaps you will be one of them.
