The "Book of Wisdom" or "The Wisdom of Solomon" is an ancient Jewish text originally written in Greek. Most scholars agree that it was probably written in Alexandria, Egypt during the mid first century BC. The work primarily deals with the idea of "Wisdom", specifically its nature and relation to God and man. The "Book of Wisdom" is one of the seven Sapiential books contained within the Septuagint, together with Proverbs, Psalms, Song of Songs Ecclesiastes, Job, and Sirach. This vintage book contains an English translation of the work by A. T. S. Goodrick, first published in 1913. Contents include: "Introduction", "Text and Notes", "Additional Notes", "Appendices", and "Indices". Many vintage books such as this are becoming increasingly scarce and expensive. It is with this in mind that we are republishing this volume now in an affordable, modern, high-quality edition complete with an introductory essay from Henry Thomas Hamblin's "The Use of the Spiritual or Super-Conscious Mind".
