Tulloss, is a respected pastor, civil rights leader, community organizer, and advocate for justice, whose influence spans Los Angeles and extends nationally. Born in Compton, California, in August of 1977 to a teenage mother and raised by a strong village of family, faith, and community, his life stands as a testimony of resilience, redemption, and purpose.Rev. Tulloss currently serves as the Senior Pastor of the historic Weller Street Missionary Baptist Church in Boyle Heights, Los Angeles. Since being called to Weller Street in 2007, he has transformed the ministry into a thriving spiritual and community hub known for outreach, advocacy, and leadership development. Under his leadership, the church has experienced growth, revitalization, and renewed relevance in a changing urban landscape.Beyond the pulpit, Rev. Tulloss is a long-time figure on the front lines of civil rights and social justice. He served as President of the Los Angeles Chapter of the National Action Network and later as Western Regional Director, working closely with Rev. Al Sharpton on major national and local justice campaigns. His activism has addressed police accountability, racial justice, economic equity, education reform, and community empowerment.In 2018, Rev. Tulloss was elected President of the Baptist Ministers Conference of Los Angeles and Southern California, the largest and oldest Black clergy organization on the West Coast. His tenure was marked by renewed visibility, unity among pastors, and strengthened relationships between clergy and civic leadership. In 2025, he was appointed Western Regional Director of MPAC (Mobilizing Preachers and Communities), a national movement uniting faith leaders to address justice, policy, and community transformation.Rev. Tulloss is a devoted father to Kaylyn, Kaleb, and Kaydyn, and he proudly carries the legacy of his parents, Jerri Tulloss-Fair and Jacob Johnson, along with generations of grandparents, mentors, and spiritual leaders who shaped his calling.
