A quantity of about 30 pieces of sheet music from the late 18th and early 19th Century, bound together into one volume. The multitude features rondos, sonatas, waltzes, sonatinas etc., by composers including Jean Theodore Latour, F(rancis) J(oseph) Klose, John Parry, A(lois) Moralt,J(ohn) B(aptist) Cramer, M(atthias) Holst,T(homas) Haigh, John Hedgley, Steibelt, Haydn, T(homas) A(ugustus) Rawlings, R(ichard) Garbett, R Blackgrove, P(eter) A(nton) Kreusser, Joseph Mazzinghi, Topliss, F Damiani and J(ohn) F(reckleton Burrowes. None of the examples appear to be dated, but most were published by L Lavenu, Chappel & Co. of London. The volume contains occasional hand written notes. The sheets are bound in a folio size volume with marbled papers on boards and leather at spine and corners of boards. All edges are worn and fraying, but the contents, apart from a few closed tears and minor losses (not affecting the contents). A leather label on the front board reads 'Miss S.A. Tompson'. A very unusual item. Latour was the appointed pianist to The Prince Regent, later King George IV, and some of his pieces refer to his royal patron. Bestandsnummer des Verkäufers 001616
