Bound in red cloth-covered boards with a black and green floral design on the front board (with a tiny G.A.T. designer's monogram) and spine, and a gold box with red lettering on the spine. E. D. E. N. Southworth (1819-1899) was among the most prolific and popular American novelists of the second half of the nineteenth century. The book is unmarked; spine slant; corners and spine ends bumped with some wear; sections of fading to the red on the front board; no dust jacket; Mylar protected.
