Wrappers. Narrow vertical bridge score pad, cover and tops of leaves with amusing illustrations in color based on bridge terms. Cover, for example, has a man in a fez giving a massage in a Turkish bath with the legend "A Rubber." Each leaf also has at its foot the Perrier Mineral Water logo with various slogans or suggestions for its use. One of these says "By Special Appointment to H.M. King Edward VII," so that dates the booklet between 1901 and 1910. On the inside cover it states: "In order to sell this bridge scorer at a popular price, the publishers [otherwise unnamed] have decided to admit an advertisement to share the heavy cost of production." Cover detached, slightly marked, one or two of the first score sheets appear to be lacking. Notes on the first couple of sheets, not to do with a game. One leaf lacks score portion. All in all about 40 illustrations, including a couple of repeats. Obviously very uncommon. An interesting ephemeral item recording an odd work by this British illustrator.
