Gerges holds the Christian A. Johnson Chair in International Affairs and Middle Eastern Studies at Sarah Lawrence College. He is the author of The Far Enemy: Why Jihad Went Global and Journey of the Jihadist: Inside Muslim Milltancy. Gerges is a senior analyst for ABC television news. He lives in northern New Jersey.
