This VG book is square, very clean, with light bumps to the lower corners but no edge dings; head and heel of the spine are very lightly bumped with minor fabric damage; the spine is nicely rounded rather than flat. There is no fabric damage, deterioration or discoloration. The interior is in similar condition: it is completely free of writing, stray marks, stains and page damage; it looks as though it might not have ever been read it is so clean. Hinges are strong and undamaged, paper is lightly toned and very flexible and frontis + 3 is intact. The VG first format jacket is largely intact, with tiny chips at the four corners and a small chip at the head of the spine that takes out "The" from the title. There is a faded blackish stain on the front cover between the soldier's face and the spine--it looks as though it actually belongs there. Bestandsnummer des Verkäufers BMR-2019-12-30-1
