2 Vols, xxxvi 203 pages, All Edges Gilt, small folio, illustrated with 41 fine colour plates drawn from nature by A.F. Lydon, numerous woodcut chapter headings of river scenes, and illustrations in the text. Occasional light spotting to tissue guards and the odd plate, some spotting to half titles. Later inscription to verso of the front-end paper. Publishers' pebbled brown cloth bevelled edges, with central gilt fishing scene within gilt and black ruled borders, fishing vignetters in black to the corners of the upper cover, The spine with gilt and black decorations. Some light rubbing to the head and tail of the spines and lower outer corners. The covers are bright and clean a VG copy of a fine example of Victorian book production at its best.
