Bowen Cooke was an official of the London & North-western Rwly Co. This is the revised second edition (1894) of the 1893 original. Three precise technical drawings included as fold-out diagrams. Cooke also lists 145 illus throughout the book incdg many B&W photos of locomotives. Condition: the text is very good and clean - no scribbling in it or smears; I have reinforced the internal hinges which were weak. Green cloth casing has some marks on it and the spine is worn.
