Pierpoint Johnson, a British botanist who also wrote 'A Concise Encyclopedia of Wild Flowers', and 'The Useful Plants of Great Britain'.Supplement written by John W. Salter, an English naturalist and geologist. With the bookplate of Constance, Countess of Derby to the recto of the frontispiece, alongside the inscription 'Constance Derby'. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Bumping to back strip head and tail, with boards exceptionally bright. Small bump to tail of front joint. Hinges strained, with boards somewhat tender.
