Inhaltsangabe: Here is the first full racing history of Bugatti, from Ettore Bugatti's endeavours with a racing motor tricycle in 1898, through to building the first racing T10 at Cologne in 1910, opening the Molsheim factory and racing at Indianapolis in 1914. After designing aero engines during the First World War, Bugatti enjoyed a golden age of Grand Prix racing in the 1920s with the legendary T35, followed by a slow decline during the 1930s, and the abortive attempt to re-enter Grand Prix racing in 1956.

Buchbeschreibung J H Haynes & Co Ltd, 2002. Hardcover. Buchzustand: Very Good. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Good. 1st Edition. Bugatti's racing history - told here for the first time in one volume was a roller coaster of triumph and tragedy. The racing successes, interrupted by the years of the First World War, carried through into the 1920s with the birth of the legendary Type 35, one of the greatest racing cars of all time. Then, in the early 1930s , came a gradual decline, which was accelerated by the arrival of the mighty German teams and the politicising of grand prix racing. The battle for dominance, and also the record of the more humble Bugattis in sports car racing, is described. Intertwined in all this is the story of Ettore Bugatti, his family and the tragic death of his son Jean plus the men and women who raced them - their loves, hates and rivalries. Book and dust jacket in very good condition and protected by a Brodart clear removable cover. Buchnummer des Verkäufers ABE-15762424578
