Beschreibung
An anti-Catholic, anti-Popery publication out of Great Britain, edited by Cunningham who was the Principal of New College, Edinburgh at the time with a great many articles on the deviousness and diabolical nature of Catholics and the Pope. Profusely illustrated with woodcuts depicting a variety of subjects including the torture of various folks by Catholics, the treasonable acts of various Catholics and a variety of other topics. In good condition, there is the library stamp inside the front and the page opposite is torn with a name in tiny writing in pencil behind the tear. There is a torn page inside and the whole is lightly soiled from handling. There are a couple of stains (see photos) and foxing.
