A fine, fresh, bright example. In the original glassine dust wrapper, small tear front flap fold. "The Candidates", a slapstick farce, was originally written and produced in 1770 and is one of the eraliest native American comedies; it introduced for the first time on any stage "the Negro" as a comic type.
