Printed by Firmin Didot brothers. Rubbing to the cloth binding, spine slightly faded. Internally a near fine copy. Title-vignette, printer's mark and decorative borders in woodcut. The English quatrains are reprinted from a 1794 translation by Hawkins for his edition of Holbein's "Imagines mortis", the quatrains in old English and Latin verses are by Greek, Roman and Christian authors.
