LIMITED EDITION 1905 OF 350 COPIES, THIS COPY NUMBERED 188. THIS EDITION IS AN UNEDITED REPRINT OF THE FIRST EDITION. 8vo, approximately 220 x 145 mm, 8½ x 5½ inches, portrait frontispiece of Izaak Walton, title page a facsimile of that in the first edition of 1653, 7 text illustrations, a river scene and 6 small engravings of fish plus 2 pages of music (the second printed upside down as issued), decorated initials, all by H. G. Webb, text printed red and black. Pages: [14], 1-155, [1], the colophon printed in red in the shape of a dolphin, finely bound in full crushed morocco by Bayntun of Bath, with gilt fishing motifs and decorations to spine and both covers, gilt title, author's name and date to spine, gilt top edge, a little gilt decoration to inner dentelles (turn ins), decorated endpapers. Spine faded to brown from green, uneven fading to covers, pale foxing to endpapers front and rear, otherwise a clean copy. Though the binding has faded it is still very attractive. See: Rodolphe L.
