Artikelbeschreibung des Verkäufers

12mo, (177x108mm), xi,[1],443,[1]p. 11 engraved plates (of 12). Contemporary calf, cover detached. Previous owner's signature: the Rev.D Jones, 'Rector of Langan 1792' on the front free endleaf, rear free endleaf and directions to the binder page, and the later owner's signature: Marg[are]t Lloyd, dated 1849, on the reverse of one plate. A sadly imperfect, and bedraggled, copy of a rare edition, ESTC records only private collections as a location for this book. The text, though drawing on a number of named sources, may be based on Goldsmith's history. Please note that the advised postage is based on an average book, if necessary the postage will be reduced to the correct amount and you will be notified by email.

Shopbeschreibung

We are located some 20 minutes drive from the M6, Junction 38 and therefore only a 20 mile detour from the main England-Scotland route. Appleby is a town well worth a visit, the coffee pot is always on though refreshment with ¿a little more authority' can be had if the Crown & Cushion in the town's market square is open! Our Bookroom is open by appointment. We will be happy to send pdf copies of our catalogue by email.
