Deckled edges. Occasional scattered foxing, largely confined to margins, but otherwise a very good copy. Pictorial bookplate on first free endpaper with signature on verso. Illustrated by 24 colour plates, including frontispiece on tan paper with sepia captioned tissue guards, by facsimile of 1637 first edition title, and by numerous drawings, many whole page and vignettes in text. Decorated by title page, preliminary and head and tailpiece vignettes. Pictorial silhouette endpapers. John Milton's masque in honour of chastity, first presented at Ludlow Castle in 1634, and here beautifully illustrated by Arthur Rackham.
