Inhaltsangabe: This is the story about the secret of one of life's simplest pleasures. Fishing with Grandpa on your birthday, life would be wonderful if Caleb could just catch this really huge fat catfish. But the catfish isn't ready to be caught; it's the smartest fish in the Lake. The catfish knows the secret to being happy and Grandpa does to. Do you think Caleb will figure it out before the day is over?
Über den Autor: I was born and raised in Big Gully in the Foothills of the Great Smokey Mountains in Southern Blount County. I've been surrounded by multi-generational families and farming for my entire life. My husband 'Ajax' and I have three children, Justin, Calaeb and Bailey. I am a vocational instructor at Carter High School in Knox County for Engineering Design and AutoCAD.
This book is one of the many stories that I've made up to entertain my children. My dad has a catfish pond on his farm and the time that he's spent with us, teaching and working has made a great impact on our lives. We've learned a lot of life's lessons on the farm. Sometimes the greatest ones were observed quietly, while watching those whom instruct us with wisdom and patience, gently molding our souls while the potter's clay is still pliable. These craftsmen in our life become our hero's, without whom we would become shapeless and without foundation or form.
Thanks Mom and Dad, I love you.
Thanks Ajax, I love you too.
Thanks to my children, I couldn't love you more.
