Revised edition. Tall narrow 8vo. Book with original box. Book bound with orange silk or cotton cords across top. One-page foreword by the author, mentioning revisions, and one page of instructions. Nice design with Arts and Crafts touches such as ornamental page borders, gold ink used on box cover and front cover of book. Fine condition, book looks almost never to have been out of the box, very slight bump to lower left corner. Box itself in very good condition with just a little bit of surface wear, small circular mark on box top (trace of original price sticker?), bottom side edges with closed splits. We also have listed a companion volume, The Calendar of Desserts. Note: The first entry in the calendar is for January 1 - Monday. The earliest publication date we found for this title was 1915 (i.e., for use in 1916). This copy has no year date, but could have been published in 1916 for 1917, or in 1922 for 1923; in those years, New Year's Day fell on a Monday.
