Collated complete.This historical work was written by Charles Macfarlane, a Scottish writer known for his historical works. This historical novel depicts the story of Hereward, an Anglo-Saxon noble man, and the conquest of the Isle of Ely. In a full calf prize binding from 'St Marylebone Grammar School' with their crest to the front board. Externally smart with fading to the spine and to the head of the front board, marks to the boards and rubbing to the joints and fore edge. Prize bookplate to the front pastedown.
