Although this is the 2nd edition, the is the first edition thus. The first edition with black and white illustrations of 1939 was largely destroyed in a warehouse fire during the Blitz. Peake added colour to the plates for this subsequent edition. Pale yellow cloth with green titles, pictorial dustjacket protected in removable plastic cover. Condition: Very good. Age spotting to cloth showing around rear pastedown. Pages clean and bright. Dj with slight shelf wear, browning to back panel. Minimal cockling due to binding along spine edge internally, more noticeable in the images than in the actual book.Size: 10 x 7.5 inches / 26 x 19 cm. Unpaginated. Weight: 200g.
